The Harbor Dock

Writing poetry is one of my favorite things to do, and I really hope that you enjoy reading it!

The waves were crashing up and down,
Bumping against the sand
Hastened were the people then
To sail away from land.

The boats were then untied to sail
The great and mighty Bold,
And bells were then a ringing
To set sail the men of old.

People crowded the Port
That held them up from sea,
To watch their fathers depart
From their families.

They told their last goodbyes,
From the harbor dock,
And then the boats ascended
The once merry flock.

And then you could see the last light
Of this mighty ship
That would come back someday
Unto this harbor slip.
.
And now the boats are miles away
From the tired shore
And the waves will crash again,
On this Harbor alone.

I hope you have enjoyed this poem!
