Our Field Fire
One evening me, my mom, Olivia, and my Nana were out shopping in Tyler. My dad and Sophie stayed home to work on the farm. After a day of shopping, lunch and fun we arrived s ome and unloaded our bags. Olivia prepared to go to a Bible Study and me and Sophie made some candles. As Olivia and my mom walked out to the car to leave, they unexpectedly saw a big cloud of smoke coming from the field. My mom walked out to the pond where the smoke was coming from and saw part of our field burning with fire. Earlier in the day my dad started a burn pile in the field by the pond. The fire had spread from the pile and was moving closer to our tree farm! My mom ran to the barn to get the mule and headed out to find my dad, who was in the woods on his tractor. I was in the kitchen cooling my candles when Sophie called me to the door. She told me to get my shoes on and follow her to the pond.
